Howard was raised on the family farm West of Conrad of which he is a partner with his brother Ray. Howard attended the Conrad School system and later attended Northern Montana College where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Howard married his college sweetheart and they have one Son Mark. Howard was an active member of the Montana Air National Guard for over 23 years, and retired from the MANG as a 1st Sergeant in the 90's. Howard was a Pondera County Deputy Sheriff for three years from 1975 thru 1978. Howard has 29 years of insurance experience beginning in 1978 when he became manager of the Northern Montana Agency in Conrad. There he sold all lines of insurance from health, life, farm, business, crop insurance, home, auto, and bonds. In 1991, Howard joined the Conrad's Agency specializing in farm, multi-peril crop, crop hail, health and life insurance. Today Howard works in the same building as he did with Conrad's Agency, but it is now called Northern Montana Insurance Services. Over these past 29 years Howard has attended numerous advanced schools/seminars in multi-peril crop, crop hail, farm, business, health and life insurance. |
